Refer a Friend FAQs

How it works:

1. Start by logging into your account, visiting the Settings page and clicking on Refer A Friend. From this page, you can send an invite email to a friend or copy a link to share directly.
2. Your friends can use the link in the email or your shared link to sign up for a OneGold account.
3. Once they complete their account signup, they can begin buying metals or immediately set up their AutoInvest preferences to take full advantage of all OneGold has to offer.
4. If your friend completes purchase of $100 or more (within 90 days of opening their account), you will receive a $5 credit in your cash balance for the referral bonus and your friend will receive a $5 credit for the purchase to use on their next buy. Orders can take up to four business days to complete and the referral credits will be posted to your account after their order is marked complete. 

More details:

• In just one click, you can share your referral link via Facebook, Twitter or email.
• Referral links look just like a link to OneGold.com except they have a special code on the end to identify your account.  For example, https://www.onegold.com/join/YOUR_REFERRAL_ID
• When someone clicks your link, you will get credit if they sign up and complete a purchase any time in the next 90 days from that computer, even if they close the browser and come back later.
• There is no limit to the number of friends you can refer, although we do reserve the right to adjust or change the referral program rules in the future.

  Advanced details:

• Your referral history will be in the Refer A Friend section of your Account Settings, where you can also find the status of each referral.
• Promoting your referral code using paid advertising for ‘OneGold’ or OneGold-related keywords is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, bidding or running ads on search brand keywords that include ‘OneGold’, ‘digital precious metals’, or similar variations, and using 'OneGold' branded terms in your ad copy, is not appropriate. Referrers who engage in such activities will have their referral codes deactivated and all referrals resulting from such activities are ineligible for referral payments. 

Why did my referral bonus not show up?

There are a few possible reasons:

• The referred customer must have signed up after clicking your referral link. If they clicked multiple referral links, they must have clicked your link last.
• Referral bonuses are only paid if the person you referred verifies their account and initiates a buy of $100 or more. The buy must fully process (meaning the funds are delivered to the account). Buys can take up to four business days to complete. 
• It can take some time for payments to go out, and they may not arrive immediately.
• We check for duplicate or fake accounts and don't pay out referral bonuses on these accounts. Duplicate or shared financials will cause disqualification.
• If a referred user fails to complete the requirements to obtain a bonus within 90 days of opening their account, neither party will receive a bonus. 

Important Notice:
Unfortunately, we can't guarantee payout on every account you refer due to the limitations mentioned above and the risk of fraud, but we make a good faith effort to do so whenever possible.

In addition, OneGold reserves the right to change the terms of the referral program at any time due to changing market conditions, the risk of fraud, or other reasons. By participating in the referral program, you acknowledge that receiving payouts is not guaranteed by OneGold.
